Lean In: Volume 2 (Key Conclusions)

Thank you to all who joined the 2nd edition of Lean In: Upping your game as a consultant in the Nordic - Africa space. And special thanks to all who shared their insights: so much to learn from such a talented and experienced team of participants! 🙌

Some of our conclusions:

Major challenge: insufficient communication from stakeholders which can be further aggravated by cultural differences from the start. Solution? Be persistent and flexible until you get what you need. 💪

Building the trust is crucial: the consultant has to build the trust between the stakeholders. Values are a possible starting point: if they match, then trust building has already begun. ❤

Rarely are projects delivered exactly on time and communicating honestly with the client is key. Bear in mind: delays might not mean the same in different cultures hence the importance of keeping a flexible mind when discussing timelines and changes in them. Reaching the finish line together is the final goal. 🏁

Make sure to keep business ethics with you. You risk losing everything if you don't! no corruption, transparency, etc. (it will bite you in the ass) but beware that the local partner might be doing things differently… 🙄
