Yesterday, we had the privilege of launching the East Africa Investor Tour (EAIT) with a packed room of investors, entrepreneurs, and ecosystem partners in the heart of Copenhagen.
The conversations? Bold. Honest. And long overdue.
From frontier markets to fundable ideas, it’s clear: there’s a growing appetite for smart, impact-driven investment in Africa, and Denmark has a seat at the table.
A huge thank you to our hosts and partners who made this possible:
-
Active Owners Denmark – for bringing your investor network
-
Dalberg Media – for bridging narratives and convening power
-
Jambaar Capital – one of Africa’s emerging VCs for bringing the investor lens
-
Remode team – curating the vision and building bridges
A heartfelt thank you to H.E. Diane Gashumba, Ambassador of Rwanda to the Nordics, and H.E. Margaret Otteskov, Ambassador of Uganda to the Nordics, for their presence, their insights, and their unwavering commitment to deepening Nordic–East African ties.
To the many organizations that showed interest, engaged in dialogue, or signaled future collaboration — thank you. Your presence means everything: Ministry of Foreign Affairs Denmark; Impact Fund Denmark (formerly IFU); EIFO; The ONE Campaign; Nordic Impact Funds; TechBBQ; World Diabetes Foundation; DI – Confederation of Danish Industry – Confédération des Industries Danoises; NjordFrey; Maternity Foundation; Abler Nordics; Delta40 Venture Studio; Danish Impact Committee, and more.
To all the participants who showed up, asked the hard questions, and stayed well beyond closing time — thank you. You reminded us why this work matters.
The journey continues
We’re heading next to Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda from Sept 29 – Oct 8 for the full investor tour — from boardroom briefings to safaris and startup showcases.
